  • 3 Years Later...

Wow, so I was thinking of creating my own blog because I wanted to start recording the moments in my life, and then I remembered I had this, so why start from scratch? Can you believe it’s been over three years since I last wrote in this thing?? So much has happened since then! Here are some highlights….

    2006

I moved to Chino Hills w/ Allen & Stef.

I bought my first car. A white, 2006 Scion XB which I named “Sexy Love” after my favorite song at that time by Ne-Yo.

1st Mammoth Snowboarding trip for me, Jody & Brizo’s Birthday

I interned at the corporate office of the Inland Empire Girl Scouts of America. I learned a ton about the non-profit world, marketing, and public relations. I learned how to create newsletters and press releases. I even had my own office.

I became pledge of the year and became a member of Delta Phi Gamma. ETA Class!

I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona w/ my B.S. in Communications w/ an emphasis in Journalism and a Minor in Int’l Business Marketing.

I went to my first Coachella concert. My favorites were Gnarls Barkley and Daft Punk.

I went on my first date w/ my current boyfriend, but it didn’t work out at the time.

Went to Hawaii with friends to celebrate graduation.

I spent every Tuesday in DTF (Downtown Fullerton) with Jody. We coined ourselves “sidekicks”

    I spent NYE in Vegas.

    2007

    2 SF Trips w/ Rachelle.

2nd  the annual Mammoth Snowboarding trip for me, Jody & Brizo’s Birthday

I moved to Tustin with Gel. We had the cleanest and most organized condo! I got my first walk-in-closet.

Mammoth Trip, DTF & Boardners for my Birthday.

Exactly 1 year from my last blog, I started my current job at Business Communications Solutions. I started off as an Administrative Assistant for an amazing boss, Sunny Rajab. I learned about high tech phone systems, IT, marketing, incorporating corporations & LLC’s, the process of moving and creating a new corporate office, how to work the city of Irvine, and much much more.

Single Crew Vegas trip for All Star Weekend.

Katrina got married to Masato and I was a Bridesmaid. We had her Bachelorette Party at Mandalay Bay in Vegas.

In June, I partied at LAX for Mumra & Serena’s birthday. I ran into Kenny there and we both talked about why we stopped talking since our first date over a year ago. He bought me several shots and he kept trying to freak dance me haha. He was still somehow a gentleman because he kept pulling my dress down that was too short.

After that night, I couldn’t stop thinking about him and it was perfect timing because I had just ended things with the guy I was dating at the time.

We went on a second first date to CPK and got buzzed and went back to my condo in Newport. We talked and I told him I knew he was dating somebody and that he would have to end things with her before we could move on. He did the next day and we went on our 2nd date to Newport Beach and just walked, talked, and held hands. We had a lot of inebriated dates, but it definitely broke the ice.

A month later we made it official. That memory is still vivid. I was sitting on my kitchen counter and he stood in front of me and I asked him what we were doing and if it was okay if I still dated other guys. He said “No, you’re mine” and I asked what he meant and he said that I was his girlfriend. The next morning he texted me that I better change my Myspace status to “In a Relationship” haha and there you go. He was my first actual boyfriend since high school, and I was his too. We were inseparable that summer. We went to the Getty Villa, OC Fair, Griffith Observatory, Vegas, Discovery Science Center, got Annual passports to Disneyland, Incubus Concert, SD Halloween Party (I was a Chef & Kenny was a Vintage Tennis Player) that he got too drunk at, Sea World, San Francisco for the Bengals vs. 49ers game.

Kenny got me a Tiffany's Mesh ring for Christmas. I got him a low rider cruiser bike.

BCS Company Xmas party at Fury.

We spent NYE at Libertine’s. (had an open bar!) 2007 was probably one of my best years ever =)

For Valentine’s Day Kenny got me a Tiffany’s necklace and cooked me a yummy fish for dinner. It was the very first time he ever cooked.

Moved back home to the parents house in La Mirada to save up to go to Grad School and hopefully one day buy a place on my own.

Went Wine Tasting for the first time.

Crazy Memorial Day Weekend: Friday: Had the flu but still went to Highlands w/ Jodes, Totts & Brizo. Ended up throwing up at the club and on the way home. Saturday: Felt better and went to Hermosa Beach w/ Kenny, Marvin, Teague, Andrew & Monica . Watched a crazy Laker playoff Game. Ate yummy shrimp & tanned w/ Mon. Later that night went to DSA for Tim's Bday and got crazy wasted from Washington Apple shots. Sunday: Detoxed at JazzReggaeFest w/ Nugget, Cythrie, the BF & Joe. Went to the Do-Over and Banana Split after. Partied w/ DJ A-Trak who is not my BF's BFF haha. Monday: chilled and tried this yummy seafood place w/ Kenny in Rowland Heights, his home away from home (China).

    TODAY, May 28, 2009.

Waiting for my grades for my first semester of Grad School at Chapman. I’m hoping for straight A’s.

Went to pick up food at Baja Fish Tacos for the boss and on my way out, tripped and fell on my right knee on the concrete in front of everyone! My knee was scraped up pretty bad and bleeding and there are no bandaids at work! The one day I actually decide to wear a dress I have to ruin my knee. Good thing there were bandaids in my car!

At work, about to leave for a RICA study session.

Excited to go to Chicago next weekend with Kenny and several friends.

Hoping I can keep up with this journal from now on… We’ll see!

  • Only you yourself knows every detail of what you've done, but if you had the power to let others see that… trust would be so easy to give and to have

But none of us have that power, which is why trust exists and is such a factor in any kind of relationship

When you lose trust, how do you get it back?

If I could only find that answer, then maybe it could've worked.

    But I haven't, and now I'm lost...

My time has expired and though the stigma which kept me from giving and receiving true happiness is dissipating into thin air... it is too late

The magnitude of one's own mistakes and hard work for that matter can be minute to you, but enormous to another

There are only so many chances one could give before they give up.

And no matter how hard you fight, it won't change anyone's mind of what really is

I had so much faith in fate that I was blind to reality

My heart felt complete, with a couple cracks that were still being mended

It’s not an easy thing to do, to finally face the truth

And then reality crashes in the blink of an eye, and all that you had is taken away and you’re left empty and void of the things that gave your life any real meaning

And even though there may be a glimmer of hope, once it's thrown away not once, but the second time... the third time is not a charm, the third strike means you're out

When you finally found the reason to smile, it was also ultimately the reason for the most pain you've ever experienced… who would have ever guessed this surprise hit could hurt more than the first time around

Sometimes you have to let go of the things you love most... even if it's the only place where you finally found it.

But you have to put on a smile and pretend like everything is okay

Because in reality, not everyone is able to find that feeling that we try so hard to discover, you’re extremely lucky if you do

When the person you count on the most has given up on you, it feels like there is nobody else left to trust.

And as cliché as it might be, NOTHING is perfect. It depends how willing, how much you want something, how much you’re willing to grow, how much faith you have in the situation, and if it is returned.

My world has given up on me, my time has been cut short, and what I gave and what was in my heart was inadequate to keep things alive…

And though lives will go on, and I’ve been hurt before, I will never forget the day my heart truly felt dead for the first time…

  • HALLOWEEN weekend was fun.. a lotta partying and sexy costumes.. the highlight had to be monster massive tho getting my groove on with some awesome dancers, seeing old friends and meeting a buncha new ones! other than that I’ve been nerd status with all the midterms and stuff I gotta get done.. oh yes by the way ill be gone all weekend for a little getaway with some friends just in case any of you are looking for me or trying to get a hold of me, the altitude may hinder my awesome tmobile reception.. haha

Have you ever had that feeling like everything is finally falling into place? It’s a good feeling… no complaints here… I’m realizing more each day how lucky I am to have such wonderful people in my life who are so encouraging (and entertaining may I add). Not only do I have awesome “playmates” but I keep meeting such interesting people who opened up my eyes to a lot of new things, the conversations are endless Anyway, I don’t really know what my point is or what I’m trying to say...just blogging

  • Wow so it’s been a little over a month since my last post and a has happened and changed in my life. I’m not going to go into details but I will say this has been a life altering month, I guess you could even say a turning point. So many bad and good things have come out of it but relieved to say still NO regrets, only things realized and lessons learned. I didn’t think I would be back to my old self this quick, but sometimes you can even surprise yourself.

School, work, and other obligations have forced me to plan ahead and attempt to manage my time more wisely so I guess that’s a good thing because I wasn’t getting ANY sleep and I know I’m only going to get even more busy (so don’t hate if I’m M.I.A.). It was pretty bad for awhile: I’d work at 4am, go to class in the afternoon, go out, not really eat all day, maybe sleep for like 2 hours (sometimes I wouldn’t sleep for 2 days in a row) and then do it all over again. I partied a little too much for a couple weeks butt now I’m getting back into school mode.

Hmm I’m trying to think of events that stick out. Oh I went to Nocturnal which was actually my first rave (ya I know the scene is pretty much dead but I thought why not see what I’ve been missing). It was an interesting experience to say the least, didn’t know I could dance like that and I actually have a much better appreciation for the music. I guess that lead to going to my first house club too, I just love watching people groove.. the music is way fun to dance to. What else… took a bunch of mini roadtrips down south to go play with the Oceanside guys and other friends from San Deezy. Right before school started, me and a bunch of the homies stayed at my parents’ Escondido. It was fun being able to party with the and daygo heads at the same time.

Time just goes by so fast I can’t even remember what I’ve been doing. Finally got to visit Steamers the jazz club slash cafe my friend Randy introduced me to back in the day, butt unfortunately the day I went (thanks for going with me last minute) was their anniversary and it was too crowded to get a seat. If you ever want to hear some chill, live jazz music check it out, it’s in downtown Fullerton.

Oh yes Friendship Games was this past weekend. Pre-partied the night b4 @ some hotel with a buncha UCSD and SDSU heads. It was a lot different for me this year compared to the past two years. One, there weren’t as many people and two I wasn’t really involved because I’ve been so busy and I had to leave early to go to the Thrice & Rufio concert (which by the way was GOOD times, even came up on a free PHAT Ezekiel tee that fits!). I think the best part was seeing old friends (some of whom I haven’t seen in YEARS) from everywhere.

On a sidenote, a couple weeks ago I started something that I hope to finish. I’ve always wanted to do it but couldn’t find the right one or the right time, until now. Everyone’s support is so overwhelming. I’ve been meeting tons of new people from everywhere and I can honestly say it’s really helped me to move on and appreciate other aspects of life. If for some reason I can’t finish, I’m just thankful for the experiences and people I've met thus far. Halloween… so many parties and things to do BUT only ONE WEEKEND!! Well during the day I get to read spooky stories to little kids, fun huh?!? Yay=D Oh wait the even bigger dilemma, the ... and couLd this possibly be the VERY first year I will not be trick or treating, i think NOT! Haha till next time kids...
